  • You don't need to know before we speak.

If you're curious about working with your breath more broadly, The Living Practice Journey is a good place to begin. Over 3 or 6 sessions, we'll explore different ways of working with the breath depending on you - from everyday breathing and nervous system practices to Conscious Connected Breathwork, where appropriate.

If you're specifically drawn to Conscious Connected Breathwork, you can also book a dedicated CCB session or series without completing a Living Practice Journey first.

Every new client begins with a complimentary discovery call. We'll talk about what brings you here, what you're curious about and what kind of support you're looking for, and decide together what feels like the best place to start.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you need - that's part of what the conversation is for.

  • Functional breathing is about understanding and improving the way you breathe in everyday life.

We'll look at things like your breathing patterns, breath awareness and BOLT score, and explore how your breath interacts with your nervous system and the way you feel.

From there, I can introduce personalised practices to support things such as regulation, resilience and different nervous-system states.

The idea isn't to spend your day thinking about your breathing - it's to understand it well enough that you have practical tools to draw on when you need them.

  • Conscious Connected Breathwork is a more experiential form of breathwork that uses a continuous, connected breathing rhythm for a sustained period of time.

Unlike functional breathing, CCB isn't about improving the way you breathe in everyday life. Instead, the practice can create space to step away from our usual thinking and become more aware of what we're experiencing internally.

Sensations, emotions, memories or insights may arise - or the experience may simply feel restful, physical or quiet. Every breath is different, and there is no particular experience we're trying to create.

  • No. The Living Practice Journey is personalised, and we'll use the breath in different ways depending on you, what brings you here and what feels appropriate.

Some sessions may focus more on everyday breathing, nervous-system practices, conversation and reflection. Others may include a longer CCB journey.

If you're specifically interested in CCB, you can also book dedicated 1:1 CCB sessions separately.

  • Not at all.

You don't need to know how to breathe in a particular way, understand your nervous system or have done any kind of breathwork before.

I'll explain and guide everything we do, and there is always space to ask questions, adapt the practice or stop if something doesn't feel right.

  • For The Living Practice Journey, I generally recommend meeting weekly or every two weeks. This gives you time between sessions to practise, notice what's changing and let anything we've explored settle into everyday life.

We'll agree on a rhythm that makes sense for you.

For standalone CCB sessions, there is no required schedule.

  • Every programme is personalised, but sessions typically combine coaching, functional breathing and practical tools to help you better understand yourself and create lasting change. Together we'll explore the patterns shaping your life, build practical ways of working with your nervous system and develop a personalised practice that supports you beyond our time together.

  • No. Breathwork can create space for emotions, memories, patterns and insights to arise, but I am not acting as a therapist and our work is not a replacement for psychotherapy, medical care or other specialist support.

My role is to guide the breath, create a supportive space and help you become curious about your own experience - not to diagnose, interpret or tell you what your experience means.

If something arises that would be better supported elsewhere, I may recommend seeking additional professional support.

  • Absolutely.

The three- and six-session journeys provide a container for our initial work together, but they don't need to mark an ending.

You might choose to return for an occasional CCB session, book another period of 1:1 work or simply take what you've learned and continue independently.

The aim isn't to make you dependent on the practice or on me - it's to give you things you can carry into your own life.
